The Toronto Golf Show as a big success. I enjoyed my 4 hours of nirvana as I talked all things golf. I let you know about some of the sway I won and about the Wilson Staff Triton, but there were a few other things that I want to share.
The following highlights are worth a mention and I hope if you went to the show you had a chance to stop by their booths. Continue reading
One of the interesting aspects of our trip to the Toronto Golf Show was the abundance of demo equipment. The usual big names were there and very busy all day. We waited for opportunities to hit the clubs and for the most part we were not disappointed.
Hitting new drivers and irons is always fun. Unfortunately, we did not have the chance to hit them all. It is my experience that during demo days hitting into nets everything comes down to feel. How the ball feels off the club is the primary benchmark if I like a club or not. Continue reading
Winning golf stuff at anytime is fun. Most golfers will enter a draw or contest if there is a chance to win something cool, a free round or, well, anything golf. I am definitely in that category and it was evident last Friday. As many of my readers agree, winning stuff is half the fun of going to a golf show.
What a day! For 4 hours, I was immersed in nothing but golf at the Toronto Golf Show. It was a great day and the 8 hours of driving was definitely worth it.
If you were following my adventure, we started out at 7 am in the rain and it followed us for the first 2.5 hours of the first leg of our trip from North Bay to Toronto. Blair did all the driving, thanks Blair, and I was the navigator. I think I did a fantastic job, however Blair might have a different view. We missed a couple of coffee stops early in our journeys, but after a couple of sips of the black gold, we were good to go! Continue reading
The Toronto Golf & Travel Show does not generally disappoint. It is a mecca of golf for three days at the International Centre by Pearson International Airport! With 100s of booths, there is something for everyone. This will be my fourth year in a row heading to this great event and I am stoked to start my trip.
This year my buddy Blair is making the 3.5 hour drive, one way, with me to take in his first golf show. We are leaving at 0 dark 30 to get there before the gates open at noon.
