A Day Of Rest!

After a long run of playin golf, I often need a day of rest. It is important to recharge my batteries in order to forge ahead to play better golf. I do wonder from time to time if one day is actually enough rest.

Some times more than a day is needed, however any more than 3 dsays and I think the rest hurts my game.

During Autumn, I will often be away for a week between games, sucheck as right now, due to life stuff. So, I will lower my expectations and enjoy each round I can play.

Don’t get me wrong, rest is very impor any in order to remain sharp and I will continue to schedule it as required. But right no, life is taking over that task.

Do you schedule rest between game?

I am a grateful golfer! See you on th links!

  1. Hi JIm,
just lately the weather has dictated my rest days, more this year that ever before. I am not about to climb on board with the climate change people, but boy it has been wet here.

  2. My round yesterday left me wanting lots of rest. The heat was oppressive at a 114 degree F feel like temperature and I was exhausted by the end. The 80% humidity level we had adds another issue to deal with when you wear glasses. Seeing. Sweat would sometimes fall on the lenses of my glasses while I was swinging and kill my vision mid swing which is disconcerting to say the least. But in spite of that, the stronger but hot breezes left over from the hurricane, and the sanded greens that caused a few putts to go astray I played pretty well. I didn’t scare par, but stayed far enough under 80 to be happy with my game. But a day of air conditioning is certainly in order after a few hours in those oppressive conditions.
