An Important Approach Shot Tip For All Golfers

Approach shots are the bane of most golfers golf scores. Some times we do not pick the proper club to fly the ball to the green and others we just aim poorly. The biggest challenge, in my opinion, is the strategy of always pin hunting regardless of the length of the approach shot. Most of us are not very accurate from a distance, yet we still think it is a good idea to hunt for a tight sided pin in the hopes of making a miracle shot. Unfortunately, hoping in golf tends to lead to disaster. The solution to this dilemma is to aim for the center of the green……if our ego allows this decision.

For those golfers who think that the golf swing has change drastically over the past 100 years, I recommend you revisit that thought. The basic tenents of weight shift, stance, body position, etc have been refined through the use of science, however the basic movements (or faults) remain the same. What Is Fun On The Golf Course?

The definition of fun is completely different for each golfer. Some find hitting the ball a country mile their jam. Others like the delicate nature of a great short game. And others find the social aspect of playing golf to their liking. There really is no wrong answer except if you are not having a good time or feel frustrated the entire time you are on the links. If this is the case, it might be time to reevaluate the reason you spend 4 to 6 hours looping a golf course. For me it is very simple and my reason transcends all others.

Working Towards My Best Golf Game

Each golfer has a unique game that works best for them. It can be difficult to find that game and when we do, we are not always happy with the result. Regardless of the path, I believe that the end state of our game is never the actual finish line. There is always something new to learn (and acquiring golf knowledge is an endless pursuit) as we try to attain our lowest scores. This journey might seem dauntless, however it does not always have to be intense or arduous. Fueling our passion for golf is a biproduct of finding our unique golf game.
