After watching Dustin Johnson, I have decided to leave most of my clubs in the trunk of my car next time I hit the links. After watching him cruise to a win at the RBC Canadian Open on the weekend, I realized I was carrying too much stuff when I play. Talk to any serious golfer and they will tell you that routine is a large component of their game. Routine establishes a rhythm conducive to low scores. As a single digit player, I am in complete agreement with routine is a benefit to my game. However, routine for the sake of routine is not good for my game and actually hurts my ability to score low. My Worst Swing and Best Shot in a Golf Tournament!
I have made some ugly shots over the years. I do not ever remember missing the ball, but whatever is next on the rug of poor shots, I was there. However, I can say that none of those really compare to what I consider my worst shot ever in a golf tournament.
