Playing golf offers a roller coaster ride that many players ride with anticipation. Golfers are the eternal optimists who live in anticipation for 0.5 seconds at a time. From the point of contact until we actually see our ball flight, we ride the high of hope that of hitting that one uplifting golf shot that quenches our desires for excellence. Our intent is to always hit shots like these, but unfortunately there are very few instances where the thrill of hope lasts until our ball lands.

Routinely Shooting A Consistent Score
Have you ever wondered what score you shoot on a routine basis? You know, that one score that is always in the running and depending on the day you will shoot higher or lower than that benchmark. For every golfer, that score is different and usually varies in direct relationship to a players skill. As a low handicapper, it is expected that my score should be consistently lower than a mid or high handicapper. This is not euphony for sure, but I was wondering what my score (s) are that I consistently shoot.

Golf is as much a mental game as a physical one. If you have played even one round, you will immediately understand that how we mentally approach and prepare each shot is as (some would say more) important important as hitting the golf ball. After many of my early years of focusing on my physical game, I took a different fork in my golf journey and this change shaped the player I am today. It was unexpected, yet I was not surprised. Opening my golf mind to different possibilities was definitely a turning point in my game.

They may not like the fact that a decision must be made and they try to avoid it, yet all golfers come to that fork and have to live with their choices. It is all part of every golfer’s journey.

This season I came across a couple of instances where I had to rethink my shot because I could not remember how to make the shot I want.
