Before anyone starts to form their opinion on what golf ball is best for everyone, I am here to state that there is no right answer. Yup, that is correct! There is no one size fits all golf ball for every player. Personally, I have tried (and reviewed) many different types of golf balls and have settled on two dissimilar brands and performance results depending on the season. Is Wearing A Golf Glove Important?
Golf equipment comes in many sizes, shapes, and materials. Some have multiple uses, but most have a single use. There are different tools used by golfers to improve many aspects of their golf game that are easily identifiable. The most obvious (removing clubs and balls) is a golf glove. It is the one accessory 75% of golfers feel is required to play great golf. I am not completely convinced, however it is a topic worth investigating.

Well, I have taken a quite a few days off from thinking and writing about golf. I have allowed myself time to recharge (still working on that) my golf batteries in order to set the stage for next season. There really is not much difficulty in refocusing on my game as my life is very simple. It is full of love, joy and gratefulness, however I do have time to devote to my passions. Being retired is great and my passions, such as golf, are allotted more time. How blessed am I? Having said that, getting into the swing of golf is all about setting myself up for success. I have discussed the importance of developing a plan many times and this year no different. Interestingly, this year I plan to take a different approach.

My go-to club is my 7 iron. It is the club (along with my driver) that I have the most confidence hitting in all situations. I practice with it often. With all the usage, I understand how to produce the ball flight I need in any situation. Having said that, the only drawback of my 7-iron is distance. I generally hit it comfortably between 150 and 160 yards. Not very far, but my consistency outweighs its shortish distance. Having said that I posed the distance question on X (Twitter) and I was surprised by the dichotomy of responses.

The types, patterns and colours of golf balls available makes my head spin and I am an avid golfer. I could easily speak for hours about the possibilities, however that would just make my head hurt. I recently ran a poll and the plethora of answers created the basis for this article. After a bit of research, I found out that there is more than just one thing that drives our golf ball selection. Surprisingly, I am not surprised, but surprised. I think you will be too!
