Jack Nicklaus Is The GOAT!

I know that the debate about the greatest of all time (GOAT) of golfers. My vote would go to Jack Nicklaus, but Tiger Woods, Sam Snead or Ben Hogan (just to name a few) would top other’s list. It is really a personal choice, but I wanted to show you a chip by the 84 years young Jack Nicklaus. I only wish I had a 10th of his skill.

I think it is fun to show shots like this by the greats. If you look closely, you will see Gary Player, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino and Anika Sorenstam watching Jack do his magic.

Shooting A Personal Best Golf Score

Well, how did that happen!? Yesterday, I shot my personal best of three under par 71 at the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort. I was completely surprised as I was able to shoot five birdies, 2 bogeys and 11 pars. All of this with two poor strokes that led to over par one each hole. No one was more surprised than me and after I was able to calm down, I decided to dissect my round to see where things went right. After much thought, I am not surprised at the results.

I hit my driver well. Actually, I would consider it the best club in my bag. Accepting The State Of Your Golf Game

For many years I discussed the state of my golf game. The ups and downs, the goods and bads, and the highs and lows. Many times, I was asked why I do not just accept my game as is and play golf for the enjoyment. This is a valid question, however I would suggest that the benchmark for happiness on the golf course is relative to the experiences of each player. Playing Timberwolf Golf Club With Friends

My friend Mike came to town on Sunday and as per usual we planned a golf game at a new course. Timberwolf Golf Club in Garson, Ontario, is a great course. Mike, Blair and I had a great time, but we did miss our fourth, Rick, on this trip. At $100 for 18 holes, cart and free range balls, this course has plenty of value and was well worth the trip.
