The uniqueness of many golf shots are situational dependent. This statement speaks volumes for most golf games. One of the shots rarely used in my neck of the woods is chipping with the Texas Wedge. Basically, it is chipping with a putter! Given the types of golf courses I play in my area, a Texas Wedge is not that useful because of the types of grass and how they are cut. Lest We Forget!
Every year, November 11 is a special day to all military personnel. Today, we take the time to honor the fallen, wounded and serving military men, women and their families. This seems like an affront sometimes, but as golf evolves, music is becoming part of the scene and maybe it is time to adjust my thinking……or is it?

How many times have you hit the links wishing you had stayed home? For most players, especially those who do not play as often as they would like, this is a rare occurrence. The joy of golfing does help many players done rose coloured glasses; yet, there are times when on course or outside influences tip the scales towards walking off the course. In many cases, the decision to leave is not taken lightly. Regardless, leaving the golf course was the best decision and I have made that decision a few times myself over the years. Have you?
