Working On My Tempo To Lower My Golf Scores

Golf swing tempo is very personal and one-size does not fit all. Each player has their own tempo and it is unique to their abilities (both physically and mentally). For my game, I know when my tempo is not ‘up to speed’ (yes, I went there) because I feel off balanced or rushed. Therefore, I need to keep my tempo in check or at least be cognizant of my tempo to lower my golf scores; it is a matter of awareness and staying within my swing abilities.

Changing Golf Stats To Measure GIR

Up until now, I have measured my first putt distance on all shots and broke it down further into GIR distances. This state has been helpful, but as my rounds pile up, it is becoming less and less valuable as I will explain below. As a result, I have decided to change my tracking numbers to focus on GIR or more specifically approach shots. I feel that this change will be more beneficial than my putting distances and hopefully this change will result in lower golf scores.

What Is Your Biggest Worry On The Golf Course

In my earlier years, I was wracked with worry when I teed it up! If I entered into a competition (friendly or serious) forget it; I would seize up for a hole or two until I hit a few good balls and had time to relax. Of course as time progressed and my game improved, I started to worry less and less. This does not mean that I do not have any worries, but any fears about my general game is overruled by my mental game.

Is It Easy To Consistently Break 90

Is it easy to consistently break 90? Depending on who you ask, the answer is a resounding yes or no! Developing a consisting swing is definitely the desired step, however this is not always the case and as such, other strategies are needed to for the player looking to lower their score below bogey golf. It is definitely possible, but will take effort to achieve this momentous milestone.
