Working On Hitting My 3 Wood

I purchased a Mizuno 3 wood a couple of years back. Since, I have been hit and miss (pardon the pun) on contact with this club. When I hit it well, I am happy with my 225 yards. However, with the slightest miss hit and I struggling to get over 200 yards. This disparity is something that I need address sooner than later. Knowing this, I have decided to focus some of my efforts on hitting this important club well. I know I have the ability to make great contact, but I need more consistency in order hit closer to 225 yards more often than not. The question is how?

How To Properly Drop A Golf Ball

Many times golfers just toss their golf ball into a general relief area and carry on with their round. When playing a friendly, I am less concerned about this than when playing in a tournament. Successfully Hitting A Delicate Shot With Your Wedges

Using the scoring clubs with skill is a challenge for all golfers. There is no question that a player with a strong short game (the distance varies depending on skill) will shoot lower golf scores. It is the one skill that all golfers should learn and use if they want to improve their ability to play well with their wedges. It is not challenging and yet seems to dumbfound many amateurs as they develop their skills around the green.

Working On Your Golf Game

Earlier in the week I posted about taking stats on my next round of golf. Although one round does not provide enough data to make any solid decisions on where I need to practice, the one round I played did provide some possible focus as to where I need work. With such a short season, it is a challenge to be patience with such a short golf season, but I do know that everything takes time. With a small sample set, this is where I realize I need the most work.

Working Towards A Better Golf Game

After my round of golf yesterday with my friends Ron and Mike, I noticed a few positive aspects of my game that I need to focus upon moving forward. It is nothing profound, however it is important enough to move forward these skills in order to improve my overall golf game. Primarily, I will focus on improving my GIR (greens in regulation) as a starting point for my season. This might seem very obvious to any experience golfer and I accept that statement. However, it is the one aspect of my game that has been holding me back for years and this year it is time to change this trend. The question is how am I going to achieve this goal without sacrificing the rest of my game?
