Still Waiting For Golf Season To Start

Normally, I forecast the start of golf season for 15 April. It normally ends on 31 Oct, but I stop playing before then. So, that equates to six months of no golf due to weather. As spring tries to beat back the winter (in temperatures anyway) I anxiously wait for the amazing news that my local golf course is open. Well, I am still waiting and trying to forecast that momentous news is impossible at this time. So, what is a person to do in the meantime?

How To Improve Your Golf Swing

There are so many tips to improve our golf swing it is hard to pick just one. The suggestions here at the Grateful Golfer is designed to offer help to amateurs hoping to improve their game. Checking Your Equipment Before You Play Golf

Do you check you golf equipment before you hit the links? I am willing to bet that a large majority of players do not give their equipment a second thought before they tee it up. A player like myself who plays 4 or 5 times a week is not likely to look over their sticks before heading to the first tee. My clubs go from my vehicle to the course and back in my vehicle. What do I need to check on because I know what is in my bag. Well, this approach works most of the time, however there are times I was caught without need supplies because I never gave my equipment a second thought before playing.

Beating Back The Pressure In Golf

Regardless of you skill level, there will come a time when the pressure to make a great shot will force you to double think your options. Whether it is to win or tournament or trying to save double bogey, each player must learn to beat back the pressure of any given shot. The effort to do so can be a challenge and many players do not have a process to executed a must needed shot while under pressure. Of course playing through several situations will help formulate a strategy, however having something in place prior to shooting your way into a pressure shot sure will help your golf game.
