Finding Drills To Improve Our Golf Game

It is the time of year where I actively look for now (and sometimes old) drills to improve my golf game. My intentional effort to improve my knowledge is important to building the proper foundation for my 2021 golf season. Sometimes, my research reinforces my current habits and today’s drill from Phil Mickelson does just that; it improves my short game. Not surprisingly, Mickelson’s drill is an extension of my star drill, however his explanation is exactly what I have been trying to articulate for years. I think this is a game changer for many players who struggle with how to confidently finish a golf hole.

Golf Is Just A Game

After watching “Trouble With The Curve” with Clint Eastwood, I was reminded of two important traits that can be transferred between sports. In this case it is baseball and golf. I find it physically challenging to carry my clubs during the heat of the summer and so, I use my push cart during those days. However, it is a question that is often asked and I have found the definitive answer from The Golf Guru, Mark Crossfield! I hope his answer finally puts to bed this lingering question.

Do Single Golf Brands Equals Lower Golf Scores?

Every golf manufacturer would suggest that their brand would lead to lower golf scores. That means ensuring every club in your bag is from the same manufacturer. I think this thinking is folly because my experience teaches me that I need to find clubs that work best for my game regardless of the brand. I can honestly say that I have never had the same make of clubs from driver to putter ever.
