How to Manage Your Golf Game
There is a new normal in my golf game for the next few months. After 21 days in the hospital receiving a stem cell transplant, it is time to focus on getting healthy and of course golf. As I move forward there is one factor I had not consider previous when making my back to the course plan: Energy! Yup, I underestimated the amount of energy it takes to do the simplest things. I always wondered how the selection process works for professional golf’s player of the year. It is a time- honoured tradition and at first I thought I understood the process. Apparently, there are two professional golfer’s player of the year award; one called PGA Player of the Year and the second called PGA Tour Player of the Year. Who knew? I guess I did, but never really paid that much attention. Did you know there were two awards?
Focusing on the End Goal in Golf
I am 14 days into my stem cell transplant with about 10 days to go. Fortunately, all is going well and I expect this to be the steady state until completion. As I sit in my hospital bed, I find myself making many mini-goals that helps me stay the course of the end goal – healthy and heading home!
