How many times have you hit the links wishing you had stayed home? For most players, especially those who do not play as often as they would like, this is a rare occurrence. The joy of golfing does help many players done rose coloured glasses; yet, there are times when on course or outside influences tip the scales towards walking off the course. A hybrid is a very versatile club. Depending on your skill, it can be used for so many different situations that would extricate any golfer out of trouble. I have used my hybrid from 210 yards to 5 yards off the green. I have it out of long grass, short grass, cabbage, from the woods and out of the sand. There are so many uses for my hybrid that I sometimes forget there are other clubs in my bag. 😉 With all the uses of hybrids, I do believe that there is one shot that is often overlooked. We golf is a challenging sport if we want to play this wonderful game well. There quantity of information that is routinely processed with seconds takes a super computer just to reach a reasonable outcome. Every shot is influenced by a plethora of stressors that our six inch piece of real estate between our ears process in an instant. This is the nature of the sport, yet most of the time our failure to hit the proper shot is rooted in forgetting what works in our golf game.
