This week was one of the best of my 2023 golf season. I played in two scrambles and one scramble match play with great results in all the events. Every year I have a week or two like this and in 2023, this was my first. I always look forward to these short periods of lots of golf and it is always better when I play well with positive results. And this week was better that expected!

Today starts the day of three (potentially four) rounds of golf in tournaments. It will be a very busy week, but great fun as well. Unfortunately the three booked are scrambles with the potential of the potentially fourth round being match play. The rounds will all be a different courses and with different players. So, lots of golf with great friends is in my future starting today. Being matched with a variety of players, it will be challenging to keep my strategy in check because each player brings something different to the table.

This article is a follow on to my last post called Sharing Golf Knowledge – Part 1. It covers more knowledge I shared with Noah when we played last week. The crux of our discussions focused on developing a strong short game with which he could build. We played nine holes and in that time, we discussed how to build a strong short game foundation. Walking off the ninth green, Noah said he felt confident that he can refine what we discussed and eventually lower his golf scores. I am confident he can as well.

After golfing for 45+ years, I have gained a bit of knowledge. Most of my understanding of golf was gleaned from my own experiences, plus a helping hand for far more seasoned players. I accepted their help because at the time my need was great to get over a hurdle or two. It all worked out and I was fortunate to be able to use this information to catapult my game to the next level. Recently, I was asked to share my golf knowledge with some aspiring players. I happily agreed to help, but it is important to note that I went in with my eyes wide open.
