Pitching the golf all is a key part of any golfers short game. If you are like me, you miss the green at least 50% of the time on approach shots. Therefore, you rely on consistent contact to hit the ball up and down. How To Beat The Chipping Yips

During various times during every golf season, I develop a case of poor chipping. I am not sure it would be considered the yips, but needless to say it is very frustrating. With such a short season, I am always looking for ways to beat my chipping woes and return to the path of confidence that leads to positive results. Have you ever been in the situation where skipping your ball across a water hazard was the wisest courses of action? I can honestly say that over all my years of playing, I have never needed this shot. I have skipped my ball across a hazard accidently the odd time, but to intentionally to attempt this shot would be considered pure folly. This would be poor course management to even try. I mean, why would we need this shot in our bag?

There are many words that should never be said on the the golf course. Many are hissed under my breath, but there is one word I never use and I am not sure I can repeat it in this article either. How To Read a Golf GPS Distance Measuring Device

I use two different golf GPS measuring devices. In 2013, I first purchased a Garmin Approach 6 and that is the topic of my article today. It is a fantastic device and I found that it improved my course management skills and club selection. For the past 5 years, I have used the device to glean the front, pin and back yardage needed to determine shot selection.
