Over the past dozen years or so, my golfing friends have asked for advice about their swing. Of course I am not an expert or a teaching professional, but they felt comfortable asking what I saw. In many cases there were multiple issues, but there was one piece of advice I told most players. It was not earth shattering, but would solve many of their issues if they would just remember to follow it for every swing. How To Hit A Golf Shot Poorly
I bet you were expecting something else from my daily musings than what I am indicating from the title. I bet if you did a quick search, you would be overwhelmed by the number of articles claiming they have the answer to everything. I have never actually counted (might do that for fun), but I know from my other stats that chipping is an important aspect of scoring well. The seven iron is a very versatile club because it can be used in a plethora of situations. I use this club quite often during around of golf as it has proven its worth over the many years of my playing. The one area I have found the most benefit is around the green, I use my 7 iron like a putter whenever possible so I can get the ball rolling to the hole soonest. I believe that I save two stokes around and that is a very good thing when you are a low single digit handicapper. Let me explain further.
