Understanding the mechanics of chipping immediately puts many golfers to sleep. The hear a ‘blah blah blah’ as someone drones on about the plethora of chipping topics. I have to admit that sometimes I also lose interest if I am watching a video and the instructor does not quickly get to the point. In the past, I have talked about how to successfully execute shots around the green. Forward press, open stance, clubface path, etc are some of the topics that can be gleaned from my articles. Lee Trevino is considered one of the greatest players of all time. Considered one of the top 25 players of all time, his magic around the green is infamous. That is why I am using his tips in my article today on how to stand and swing your clubs when making a shot around the green. An Important Golf Tip That Change My Short Game

In my early golfing years, my focus point on chips was the pin. I felt that this was the goal, so using it as my benchmark was the correct course of action. Many years later I know that is approach to chipping was folly and I adjusted my whole game. Now that I have entered the world of hickory sticks, I am relearning this lesson. A Great Explanation On A Bump and Run Golf Shot

There are many videos describing how to hit a bump and run. With varying suggestions, the basic concept is the same. Try to get the ball running or rolling on the ground as quickly as possible. This is not a miracle shot, but one that every golfer should have in their bag in order to lower their golf score. I use this shot during every round of golf and it is my favourite shot around the green. As I go through the motions of hitting a bump and run, I try to keep the technique the same. Changing the club being used is how I vary the distances of the roll out. The process is relatively simple, but does need some practice.
