After six months of battling lymphoma, today is the last day of treatment. My stem cells, which were harvested three weeks ago, are finally being infused back into my body. After several treatments of intense chemotherapy, it is time to start the road to recover. I still have a long way to go, but focusing on recovery is a relief. Additionally, I can set a goal of playing golf this fall which will motivate me to stay focused on a healthy recover. Continue reading

Visual Cues to Better Chipping
Chipping is a difficult skill if you do not have a solid foundation. Though techniques vary from player to player, there are some fundamental similarities that all players should use. Over the years, I have worked tirelessly on my short game and it was not until two days ago that I realized I subconsciously had a visual cue that is critical to my chipping success. Putting and chipping are very personal skills in golf. I do not think any two players think, scrutinize or execute these shots in the same way. Over the years, I have used a simple drill that helped me judge the speed of the greens before I place a club in my hand.
