Three Driver Faults That Limit Your Distance

If you are a golfer who struggles with your driver, I know I do from time to time, it could be because you are hitting the ball too low on the clubface. I know this swing fault is something that I worked on for years. Over the past two years, I tried to force a swing change by adjusting my ball position and tilting my shoulders more on setup. All my adjustments did was create more swing challenges and poor driver contact. I went back to my old swing and realized that I was approaching my desire to improve distance off the tee all wrong. Rick Shiels is an instructor I follow and find very helpful when I am trying to improve my game. I found a video that makes great sense to me and I will try to improve on these skills this summer as I continue on my golf journey.

How Important Is Your Tee Height?

The proper height of your tee when using a driver is critical! I can say this with my hand on my heart because I adjusted my tee to the proper height last season and it drastically improved my hitting percentage. I added some distance, accuracy and overall comfort when hitting my driver. This might seem like an odd statement because my driver is one of my best clubs in my bag, but committing to tee height change made it even better.
