I was thinking back to the kerfuffle about players breaking the rules during the 2019 golf season. I will not name names because this post in not a rant against specific players, but what is being taught to amateurs by leaders of our game. When I read about golfers intentionally turning a blind eye to players breaking the rules is when I get a little hot under the collar.

Two New Golf Rule Changes for 2018
New rule changes affecting your score!
The governing bodies of golf have finally made two good rule decisions I can get behind. Some pundits feel that the changes will empower the players to cheat, but I say that it forces professionals to play to the level of integrity we expect as viewers. These two rule changes will make pundits take sides and I choose the side of good riddance.
Honesty and Integrity at Any Age
I will say up front that I am totally impressed by this young 7-year old golfer who returned his trophy after he realized he signed his scorecard with the wrong score. He provides an outstanding example of honesty and integrity that all golfers should aspire to!
