On To The Semi Finals Of The Osprey Links Stroke Match Play Competition

From the title of the article, I guess you figured out that I won my match yesterday. After playing 18 holes with hickory sticks, I played another 18 holes against Scott. Steve and Dan, Scott’s friends (and now my friends) joined us to round out our group. These young players have strong developing games in addition to being great company during our round. There were some great shots, some not so great shots, and some forgettable shots. However, the company was fantastic, the weather was gorgeous and the course was in fantastic condition. Overall, it was a great round and I had a great time.

Playing Golf With Friends!

Is there anything better than playing golf with friends; especially friends that we do not see often. Two days ago, I had the opportunity to reconnect with Andre and Serge. I was matched against Craig Wallace and unfortunately for him he was matched up against a bulldozer that would not stop. It was my best round of the year and my front nine crushed Craig because I could not miss and he had a tough day.

First Round Match Play Adventures

The Osprey Links Golf Course Stroke and Net Match Play Championships are well under way and the scores are starting to roll in. I have played two matches myself and had a great time during both rounds. I played one match on each the stroke and net side, but with different results. The score was secondary as I played golf with two great guys and I hope I have the opportunity to play another round with them this year.

Driving and Putting For Low Golf Scores

My golf season was wright with ups and downs; as most of us experience. Through the 80+rounds, my driver and putter were the best clubs in my bag. They were my great equalizers during most rounds and during the last round of the Coldwell Cup this week, they did not let me down. They were steady clubs that set up the rest of my game for success.
