Running A Match Play Event At The Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort

As in years past, I am running a fun, members only, stroke match play event at the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort starting 9 August. This year’s event is free and the prize is bragging rights. Because I am new to the Mattawa course, I am a bit late getting things off the ground. We are only running a stroke event because it is no way to confirm the players handicaps. Regardless, it should be a fun time and the draw will be determined at random once I have gather all the names.

The Final Match Of The Osprey Links Stroke Match Play Championship

Bruce and I finally had a chance to play the final match of the Osprey Links Stroke Match Play Championship. After 4 previous matches, we both were ready to see who would be considered the Osprey Links Club Champion. We have played head to head before and it was a slug fest down to the last hole. I was confident that our match would follow the same format and hopefully the outcome would be different.

Osprey Links Match Play Championships

It is that time again for the Osprey Links Stroke and Net Match Play Championships to start. This is the second time I volunteered to run these events on behalf of Osprey Links. I volunteered to be the chairperson of the 2021 Osprey Links Match Play Championships. The winner of each event receives a parking spot adjacent to the clubhouse. In addition to the parking spots, each winner of a match wins a sleeve of balls from the golf course.

2020 Osprey Links Match Play Tournaments

I volunteered to be the chairperson of the 2020 Osprey Links Match Play Tournaments. Like last year, I offered to help lighten the administrative load of the awesome Osprey Links staff by spearheading the member’s only Stroke and Net Match Play events. The winner of each event receives a parking spot adjacent to the clubhouse. These coveted parking spots drew out 42 players last year and we are hoping for more this year!
