Golf is a game where inches can either lower or increase your score. Most amateurs make their most shots around the green and in some cases half on the putting surface. Since we rack up the most strokes on the green, it makes sense that we focus more of our practice time on the putting surface. If this is true, what tips should we follow to lower our overall score. That is a great question and I recently found out that there is no one defining method to putt regardless of our skill level. How To Sink Long Putts

Putting is a unique skill that requires a great deal of attention to master. I spend most of my time on or around the green with my scoring clubs in hand. The club that will lower your score the most is your putter! I know this from experience because even now as a low digit handicapper, putting accounts for 40 to 50% of my score. When The Hole Looks Like A Garbage Can Lid

Many days on the golf course the actual hole does not look like the standard 4.25 inches. There are times when it looks like a ball could not possibly fall in such a tiny space. On other days, it is as big as a garbage can lid and I could not miss it even if I tried. Of course we all want the latter when we play because those are the days we have great scoring rounds. I often wonder why the hole looks small some days and large on others. My conclusion is that it is all mental. There is no other possible explanation or is there?
