The 2108 Masters – What a Finish!

Congratulations to Patrick Reed for winning The 2018 Masters and his first Major. At the beginning of the day, I had predicted he would not shoot very low and his lead was poach-able. However, I did not see Rickie Fowler or Jordan Spieth making the run they did forcing Reed to be clutch down the stretch. The Masters – Surprises on Day 2

If I am playing at The Masters, I want to play in the afternoon. It appears that most of the great scores happened later in the day and as a result Patrick Reed and Marc Leishman are leading the charge. As I watched Amen Corner, I was very surprised to see so great players struggle, while others cruised through without a worry. I am not sure what causes such a disparity, but it sure made a difference to the scores.  Continue reading

The Masters – A Disappointing Day 1

Were you disappointed with Day 1 of the 2018 Masters? Was the thrill of stellar play felt throughout the day as you watched Augusta National give and take away strokes at will? I watched Amen Corner for most of the day and did not see any exciting shots except for Freddie Couples holing his sand shot on the 12th.
