How many times have we mishit a golf shot only to see that the results were awesome. This happens from time to time and I have had my share of ‘ugly but effective’ golf shots. The reason for the success of an ugly shot is that I prepared for success. Sometimes we have to accept that the results was suppose to happen regardless of how it happened. In golf, this is a constant during every round. There are lucky bounces and those are not what I mean in today’s posts, but other shots that have a positive result. Let me explain further.

Can You See Your Golf Shot?

Many golfers approach their next shot with blinders on without any regard for what they are seeing. Each shot offers a unique opportunity to make a great play. The challenge is that many players to do not visualize their shot prior to making any attempt. This particular technique should and I will repeat, should, be part of your pre-shot routine. If you do not visualize what you are seeing, then how does your body and mind know what you want it to do? Visualization is a basic technique to low handicap players and is engrained in their pre-shot routine! Many of us rush to the golf course to partake in a 4.5 hour sprint around the links. It is almost a ritual for many players to arrive a few minutes before their tee time and hurry around the parking lot gathering their stuff in order not to be late. If this sounds familiar, then you are likely hurting your golf game from the moment you sit in your car and head to the golf course. This rushing around causes more harm to your golf game then you can imagine and it is all because you forget to focus on the real reason you loop the links. Lowering Your Golf Score The Simple Way

There are many sources to offer advice to lowering your golf score. Knowing some of them are beneficial and mastering some of they will definitely lower your overall score very quickly. Choosing The Shot You Prefer In Golf

The majority of amateur players hit the ball, walk to the ball, hit the ball, walk to the ball….ect without much thought as to how changing this pattern could lower their golf scores. The ‘whack a mole’ process of playing golf causes challenges for some players because they never really know what shot they will have next. Sometimes that is a fun approach to golf, but during tournaments it usually costs unnecessary strokes added to our final tally.
