I am posting the following information about Fairways and Awesome 4somes in support of two #GOLFCHAT authors and golf bloggers. Tiff and Jeremy have taken it upon them selves to expand golf around the world. Maybe you would like to help as well.

Fairways is a sponsored fund which supports children who love golf, but whose families cannot afford it. They pay for membership, lessons and range access, the purpose being to develop junior golf while also supporting golf businesses and professionals.

Tiffany “Tiff” Chaisson (CEO) and Jeremy White (COO) believe that to increase participation in golf, children need to be the focus. It is better to create a lifetime golfer at school age, than to try to convert a non-golfer later in their lifetime. Similarly golf businesses need to be supported, rather than asked for handouts or discounts in an already competitive market.

Fairways identifies kids who love golf, but whose families are in difficult financial situations, then we look after their membership, lessons, and range access. Whatever we need to do to keep a fairway under their feet.

Awesome 4somes

 

Awesome 4somes are 4 player tee times that have been very kindly donated by golf courses all around the world. Fairways sells them at 65% of the total green fees value. All funds raised support Fairways programs for disadvantaged junior golfers. So you get a great round for yourself and three friends, while supporting a worthy cause. Not much more to say but, awesome!
