What a great combination – Father’s Day and the US Open Championship. For most men, this is a fantastic combination. Many, I presume will take advantage of both by golfing in the morning and watching the action in the afternoon.
Both are exciting events and I all I can say is enjoy them both. Share the experience with your loved ones because in the big scheme of things that is all that matters. Take the time to enjoy the company of your family, the thrill of playing a round and the excitement of watching Dustin Johnson walk away with the US Open.
I think of how this day would have been awesome with my Day (who we lost 28 years ago). He loved golf! We share the same passion and we would have enjoyed talking, laughing and second guessing all the decisions at he US Open. I would have been the designated drinks and food fetcher, but that would have been okay. It would have been a day to cherish.
My father-in-law has helped fill the void over the year’s. He is older now and does not like golf much, but understands my passion and lets me watch it when I go visit. He understands my love of golf and as father’s do, helps fan the flames of my passion.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I hope you have an awesome day filled of love, laughter and the US Open.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Almost forgot. Happy fathers day!!

Jim, I will be doing just as you suggest. Visit with Dad this morning, teeing it up mid-day, watching US Open late afternoon. Hope you have a great Father’s Day and are feeling okay and playing great!
