This post will be short. I was playing on my home course a few days ago and came across this:

As you can see, someone took a gouge out of the green adjacent to the pin! How selfish can a golfer be to damage the green in this manner. Likely, they were frustrated with their shot and swung their club not expecting this result. However, as a long time player who values the efforts of the golf course workers, this type of reaction is unacceptable….period.
If you are frustrated with a missed putt or poor chip, do not take it out on the course. All the above action did was annoy the rest of the players, not to mention cause a significant challenge the Superintendent as they try to fix needless damage.

That hole is looking a bit mangled as well.
I wish people would put a suction cup on their putter if the can’t bend over a bit

It is tough to keep everything prestine on our small course. However, the gouge beside the cup is completely avoidable.

Some people simply require anger management classes. It’s an inexcusable childish thing to have done.
