Any golfer who plays more than once in awhile understands that there are times in their game where things just do not make sense. Everything will be going along just fine then ‘BAM’ nothing works. Like some of the players at the US Open (Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott to name a few) I am playing like I own the course, then an anvil drops on my head.

2019 US Open – Final Day

Congratulations Gary Woodland on winning the 2019 US Open. This last round was riddled with low scores and players making charges only to fall short. The two players who had the best chance, Justin Rose and Brooks Koepka, struggled through holes 10 through 15. Their approach shots were not as accurate as in previous rounds and as a result could not get were not even the score at anytime during the round.

2019 US Open – Moving Day

Is it Gary Woodlands tournament to lose or win. He seems to be on cruise control and heads into Sunday with a one stroke lead. He is definitely not someone I would have selected as a potential US Open winner. Regardless, there he is and the rest of the field will need to step up their game to surpass him.

2019 US Open – Day 2

Well there were not many movers on day 2 at Pebble Beach; that is except to Gary Woodland. He played a solid 5 under par. The rest of the top of the leaderboard shot between 1 and 3 under. This was expected and I think the scores will be even higher on moving day as the course becomes drier and harder. I guess this what we should have expected from the second day of the US Open; tougher and windier conditions.
