Using a Hybrid for Something Different

A hybrid is a very versatile club. Depending on your skill, it can be used for so many different situations that would extricate any golfer out of trouble. I have used my hybrid from 210 yards to 5 yards off the green. I have it out of long grass, short grass, cabbage, from the woods and out of the sand. There are so many uses for my hybrid that I sometimes forget there are other clubs in my bag. πŸ˜‰ With all the uses of hybrids, I do believe that there is one shot that is often overlooked. Forgetting What Works In Golf

Playing golf is not a challenging sport. It is based on fundamentals developed over time that drive what shot we can hit next. Sounds simple, right? We golf is a challenging sport if we want to play this wonderful game well. There quantity of information that is routinely processed with seconds takes a super computer just to reach a reasonable outcome. Every shot is influenced by a plethora of stressors that our six inch piece of real estate between our ears process in an instant. This is the nature of the sport, yet most of the time our failure to hit the proper shot is rooted in forgetting what works in our golf game.

Fixing a Slice

Hitting The Delicate Golf Shot

How often have we played a round of golf where finesse is needed to execute a golf shot? You know, the shot that requires a delicate touch to ensure that the ball lands gently on the green and does not release well past the hole. Usually, the shot is short-sided and we need to hit over a hazard or obstacle. I have found a way to succeed with these delicate shots, but it takes confidence and commitment developed through practice. It is purely a mental challenge after awhile, but does take an understanding of how to use your clubs. Let me explain!
