Are all golf bloggers professional writers is a tough question. I came across a quote by Richard Bach that sent my head in a tailspin! I am a professional writer by occupation, but I was not clear if blogging about golf would be considered professional writing. Additionally, I wondered if golf bloggers are writers or authors or if there is a difference. Continue reading

Finding My Centre In Golf
Remaining focused and calm on the golf course is a sure fire way to shoot low scores. This is not a revelation for most avid players, yet it seems that it is a lesson I forget from time to time. In my game, the concentration for a solid round starts prior to my first tee shot, but that first shot sets me up for success if I approach it with the proper frame of mind. In other words, finding my centre and keeping it! Continue reading
Phil vs Tiger – The Match
What kind of a golf blog would this be if I did not mention the Phil vs Tiger match tomorrow? It is a pay for view event that does not garner my interest. I actually believe that everyday I am panning for that one nugget that will actually help my game. And the quick fix claims are a great resource. Continue reading
Golf is a Journey of Failure
Golf is a journey of persistence is nothing new to most readers. As a player with over 40 years invested in the game, I can honestly say I have failed more times than succeeded. Of course, there has to be a benchmark for this statement and fortunately it is a standard set by each player. Through introspection, I set goals each year in attempts to provide a clear path to something achievable. Unfortunately, I fail to meet most of these goals, but my yardsticks continue to advance to my ultimate goal of being a scratch golfer. Continue reading
