Creating The Ball Flight You Want vs Need

Creating any type of ball flight is not overly difficult. Okay it was a tag line and depending on the shot required to produce the best results is far more challenging than on might expect. I am not talking about extricating ourselves from trouble, but say an approach shot from 175 yards that requires a baby draw/fade to safely land on the green. Being able to create a specific ball flight is more that what we routinely hit; it often relates to what is needed versus what we want to hit.

Hoping For The Best In The 2024 Golf Season

With golf only a few months off, it is time to start thinking about what comes next. Is this the year I try to lower my handicap, again? Looping The Club For Consistent Contact

The more I read about my golf swing, the more I realize how much I still need to understand. I still have three months to go, actually 89 days, and because of that, I need to find interesting ways to keep working on my golf game. Of course I write (not as much as I should), I do work out a bit, and I do swing my clubs in my garage, but is all this enough to keep my game semi sharp for the the next season. I am not sure, but it will have to do because I do not have any other options. Or is it?

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions! Golf is all about decisions. What club to hit; where to land the ball; lay up or go for it; or I can make this low percentage shot! No matter where you are in your round, golf offers you the opportunity to make a plethora of decisions. The real decision you should be making is what shot will lower my score? That is it, there are no other factors to decision making in golf. Each shot is an opportunity to lower our final tally regardless of the outcome of the shot. I say this because execution is completely different that decision making because a poor decision is rarely saved by your ability to hit difficult golf shots. Conversely, a great decision will save you strokes even after a poorly executed shot. Honest it does!
