Hope for the Next Shot in Golf

Hope is defined as “to cherish a desire with anticipation”.  Everyday we express our desire for a specific outcome and hope that it occurs. It is a natural emotion and is a powerful motivator for most golfers!

Hitting the Ball Well Off the Tee

As you walk up to the tee and prepare for an awesome round of golf, small niggling thoughts run through your head. You start to think about your first shot and all the things that could go right or wrong. Personally, I am a glass half full guy and focus on making a perfect shot, exactly as intended.

We all realize that tee shots set up a hole and after listening to my compatriots talk at the 19th hole, many seem to struggle with the big stick. They hit the ball left, right, short and well, all over the place. They lament about their challenges and wish they could solve their conundrum. Continue reading

Starting Strong or Finishing Strong

Walking to the first tee is always daunting for some players. It can be the dreaded walk of shame depending on if anyone is watching. Starting strong is very important and for many it is the make or break shot that sets up their entire round.

On many an occasion, I have striped the ball down the center of the fairway to only struggle for the rest of the round. Contrary to that situation, I have struggled off the first tee and scored very low.

Keeping it Real on the Golf Course

It is challenging to play great golf! Some times it is extremely challenging to play anything resembling your game. Golf is the type of game that empowers or crushes a players dreams of being a consistent golfer. It is an amazing journey that requires attention to come to fruition.

I have talked about being a scratch golfer for years. I have diligently worked towards my goal and have shared my thoughts along the way. I am not detracted from my quest and will continue to strife forward. The Start of My Off-Season Routine
