Are Clean Grooves On Your Golf Clubs Important?

I clean my golf club 98% of the time after a shot. I do this because I learned a long time ago that clean grooves help me control the amount of spin I place on the ball. This inturn helps me control the release of the ball on the green. Hence, I am almost neurotic about keeping my clubs clean and I think it makes me a better golfer. If you do not have the habit of cleaning your clubs after each shot, I recommend that you start because it is important and I have the science to prove it!

Playing Golf With Hickory Shaft Golf Clubs

For the third time in four years, the Golf Historical Society of Canada offered the opportunity to play a round of golf using hickory shaft golf clubs (hickories) at Osprey Links. It is not a very scientific device, but is very important if golfers understand what this means. The intent of the article is to demystify a stimpmeter so we can better prepare ourselves for a great round of golf.

Yup, it is back. For some reason I am overswing and pulling my ball left. This swing hitch happens a few times a year and usually at the most inconvenient time. I know I am making all kinds of swing errors by the direction of my divot and the fact that my ball ended up in the woods a few times during my last round. 🙂 I have a sure fire fix for my swing woes and it does not take much time.
