At the forefront of everything was the play of the eventual winner: JB Holmes. He was one example of how the PGA Tour is losing the battle between showing the top players and not having to watch them for 6 hours!

Changing Golf’s Marketing Strategy
It is time for the golf industry to change their marketing strategy! Their approach of constantly bombarding my social networks, emails, and news feeds is numbing my senses to any possible chance of buying new equipment. It often becomes so overwhelming that I just ignore the white noise and quickly move on to other news articles. Of course, the manufacturers approach is not going to change anytime soon, but I do have a suggestion for the teaching side of the golf industry; by changing a few words in their sales pitch would likely garner more attention to their product. Who Will Be Selected As Golf’s Player of the Year in 2018
I always wondered how the selection process works for professional golf’s player of the year. It is a time- honoured tradition and at first I thought I understood the process. Apparently, there are two professional golfer’s player of the year award; one called PGA Player of the Year and the second called PGA Tour Player of the Year. Who knew? I guess I did, but never really paid that much attention. Did you know there were two awards?
Fairways Fund – Building Golf From the Ground Up
The key to building a sustainable golf industry is to start at the grass-roots by teaching juniors how to play. Many organizations, such as Golf Canada, have grand ideas for how to do so and often reach out to the provincial golf associations in attempts to grow the game. However, sometimes all it takes is rolling up your sleeves and making a difference in your local area.
Tiff Chaisson and Jeremy White decided to just that. In April 2016, Tiff contacted Jeremy to assist her in setting up a nonprofit to help underprivileged kids across the globe play golf. And the spark of inspiration for junior golfers around the world was ignited. Continue reading
