Wrist torque and the golf swing is a real thing. I never encountered the explanation of how our hands and wrists affect the clubface before and I find it very interesting. The technical explanation offered in the video makes complete sense to me. I can see how the signals sent through our hands and wrists change the intent of hitting the ball square on impact. Interestingly, there is a simple fix that is nothing new, but it always helps to revisit this topic as a great reminder moving forward.

Most amateurs equate swing speed with ball distance. This thought process is correct (to a degree), however it is not the only affect swing speed has on your game. Swing speed can be defined as how fast the golf club is traveling when it strikes the ball. The topic of using a different swing for different golf clubs often arises when chatting with my friends. Because each club is designed for a different purpose and distance, many feel that a different style of swing is warranted. It is an interesting concept, but not one that I do not subscribe too because I have a difficult enough time maintaining one swing. I will make a disclaimer about this topic: this discuss centers around a full swing and full swings only. I am not a traveler for golf, so I have a limited opportunity to reconnect with my game. So what is a golfer to do?
