I have played my Mizuno MP 20s for two seasons now and it is time to trade them in for something better! You know, after two years and about 100+ rounds, there are no good shots left in them. Hence, my decision to change my clubs has come in a whim. I figure that by changing my clubs my game will improve and I should take one step closer to being a scratch golfer!

There is one drill by Rick Shiels espouses that will help many players consistently break 90. This specific drill is one that I have used for years and have taught to many of my friends. The Senior Scramble at Osprey Links was a fantastic event. Played yesterday, Rick and I teamed up again in an effort to play well enough to be in the top prizes. We had plan of being more aggressive than normal because we felt this was the way to have a shot at the top prize. This is an event that we look forward to playing because of the comradery, fantastic food, and the chance of winning. This year Rick and I were confident that this was our year because we developed a great plan; the only thing left was to execute this plan.

Today Rick and I play in the Senior Scramble at Osprey Links. With both of us being over 55, we qualify to the event. Actually, this is our second year in a row where we get to pit or skills against the rest of the pack. Last year we were in the prizes, so we are hoping that this year we will be able to repeat our previous success. As always, there is a strategy to playing in these types of events and this year we are going to try something new.
