I know of a friend who shot a hole in one about 20 years ago on a par 4, but I still find it difficult to comprehend….until now!

Making Learning Golf Fun for Kids

Over the many years that I have been involved in coaching, there is one common denominator for every sport. If we do not make the game fun, kids will find something else to do with their time. As an athlete, I was the same way and actually still am; if it is not fun, why play? Golf is especially challenging because of the time commitment, cost, and the number of movements involved in one swing. Additionally, success is not always guaranteed, so all the more reason to make golf fun.

Forgetting To Go To The Golf Course

Have you ever missed a tee time because you forgot? You know, life took over and you did not hit your tee time! I am trying to think if there ever was a time that I just forgot to go to the golf course. I don’t thinks so, but of course over 45+ years of playing golf it is entirely possible. Definitely not over the past 20 years, yet when I was younger……well, we will just move on.

Does Your Pre-shot Routine Change With The Weather

This morning the blanket of white arrived and is likely to stay until April 2021. We are hoping for a bit of break over the next few weeks, but essentially Winter is Here!

That is okay, it was a matter of time and it is not unexpected. I did, however, feel a shift in my mood this morning. With the snow finally here and the waiting over, I realize that my morning routine shifted gears. I am not sure why, but the change in weather has changed how I look at things. As such, I am a little slower and less inclined to rush out of the house to the great outdoors. And of course, that got me thinking of my golf game!
