Can you remember back to when you first started golfing. I wonder if you just picked up a club and started whacking away. When I first started, that is exactly what I did. I actually never practiced for the first 15 years after I swung my first club. I play a great deal and I guess that was considered my practice. Until 30 years ago, when I started practicing, I would suggest I bounce around at whatever part of my game that needed fixing that day.

I generally have an idea of how I want to play each round. I sometimes focus on specific shots, but most of the time I try to maximize my skills to match the playing conditions. However, there are some rounds where I could not hit the broad side of a barn from six yards away. It is during those rounds that I fail (miserably) to execute my great plan.

After taking a share of the lead at the end of day two, Dustin Johnson cruised to his first green jacket and second Major. After finishing second last year to Tiger Woods, it must be an amazing feeling to have Tiger Woods pass the baton. The Masters, in my opinion, the pinnacle of any professional golfers career. This highlight is only accentuated for Dustin Johnson because he also holds the record for lowest total score in tournament history (taken from Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth). It is a great day for DJ and it is well deserved.

Dustin Johnson shoots a 65 on moving day at the 2020 Masters. His second round of 65 opened up a four stroke lead heading into today’s action. I guess I am not really surprised at his score and I expect him to break the low score record of minus 18. He just needs to play his regular game and he will don his first green jacket and second Major. At this time, I am not sure anyone will catch him unless the slips on the again and lets hope that does not happen; right Brian?
