The Big Swing of Bryson DeChambeau

One of the major discussions on the PGA Tour in 2020 is the drastic change in Bryson DeChambeau’s swing. His monstrous drives have eclipsed the imagination of many players and I am fairly sure that many golfers will try to emulate his success. Personally, I see little chance that I would be able to come close matching the powerful swing, but it is fun to watch.

Area Of Focus: Right Elbow

Battling My Swing and Winning

Originally, I was going to title this article “Fighting My Swing and Losing”. However, I realized that this in not inline with how I want to approach my golf game. Instead of focusing on the bad part of my game, I think I need to stay on positive path to improve my changes of lowering my golf scores. So, it is important that I remind myself that I need to focus on how to improve without focusing on the negative side of my poor results.

Drastic Changes In Temperature

Any golfer will tell you that they watch the weather; if they say they do not, then I would suggest they are pulling your leg. Changes in the temperature have a direct impact on how we approach each round. In fact, where I live in Canada, the weather can change drastically in the course of a round. But, the shift from fall to winter signals a change in thinking where golf falls down my list of things to do. I know it sounds sad, but that is the reality of living in colder climes.

Help My Hands Hurt

At the start of every golf season, my hands hurt. I am not complaining….well, maybe just a little….because I am back on the links. Yet, it hurts in the same place all the time. The pinky of my right hand and index finger of my left. It lasts about a week and it does have a negative impact on my ability to practice and play. But, I have to ask myself……WHY?
