It amazes me the number of new golf things I encounter on a daily basis. Additionally, I am grateful to all my friends who graciously send me golf things for my entertainment. Yesterday was Canada Day! To celebrate the birth of our nation I hit the links with my friends Blair and Rick. We teed off early to ‘beat the heat’ and our day of fun in the sun turned out to be my best round of golf in 2020. I did not do anything extra special (or so I thought), yet my short game proved to be the main factor for my success. Truthfully, I am not surprised at my success as this part of my game has improved dramatically due to my early season practice.

The first of July is special to all Canadians because it is Canada’s Birthday.
Canada is 153 years young! As a Canadian, I have so much to be grateful for; I believe that Canada offers more to its citizens than any country in the world. We are not the biggest, richest, nor most influential, but in my opinion, we are the best! After spending 36 years of my life protecting this great country, I still marvel at its majestic and pristine beauty.

A Miss Hit in Golf – Mental or Physical?
On any given day, I will make a number of miss hits. This is not because I choose to hit the ball fat or thin, but it just happens. I think I set up the same way and follow my pre-shot routine as per normal, but every so often I hit a shot like I am a beginner. Regardless, I often wonder if my miss-hits are the result of a mental error vice a physical one.
