The Players Championship – Day 1

I did not get to watch any of the action, but did peruse many highlights. I really do not have much to say about the action because it would all be here say. I will mention that my pick Tommy Fleetwood is at the top of the leader board, so that is a good thing.

I promise to be more engaged today and have more to discuss tomorrow. In the meantime, here is a recap of yesterday’s action.

Playing the 17th Hole at the Players Championship

One of the most dramatic holes in golf is the 17th hole at the TPC Sawgrass. This hole always provides an abundance of entertainment at the Players Championship and I expect that it will again this year. Not matter how you slice it, hitting the green at the proper spot is critical to staying in play. It has been the bane of some golfers and the highlights of others.

The 17th hole is considered a pivotal hole. It has the potential of deciding the winner of this weeks tournament. As we watch the play unfold, I predict that Tommy Fleetwood will play this hole 2 under par over the four days. This stellar play on the toughest hole at TPC Sawgrass will help him in to the winners circle.

What is your favourite hole at The Players Championship?

If you follow what has been happening so far this year, choosing a winner will be more difficult than expected. Regardless, I thought it would be fun lay out my thoughts and to let you know who will be in the winner’s circle on Sunday!

“Good Shot” – An Over Used Saying in Golf

Unfortunately, many players automatically respond to any shot with a positive platitude. Personally, I find this annoying and would prefer my playing partner not feel the need to comment of every shot. Let me explain!
