Since purchasing my putter a few months back, I believe I have subconsciously decided that this will be my focus over the next 5 months. Without question I will continue to train and prepare physically, but I think I need to work on all things putting. Is Rickie Fowler Up Winning Again in 2018?
Approximately 2 years ago I predicted Rickie Fowler would have a break out year. Since he has played well and demonstrates sparks of greatness. His recent 61 on the last round of the Hero World Challenge has sparked the conversation all over again. In baseball, if you hit the ball 3 times out of 10, you are a great batter. In golf, if this was the case we would have to go back to the drawing board to fix our issues. I have worked on improving my golf game for over 40 years and I still have plenty of room for improvement. Indecision Hurts the Golf Swing
I have played rounds of golf where every decision was quick. I was in a groove, played each shot as designed and, for the most part, everything worked out very well. I have played rounds where I did not think at all and went through the motions. Those rounds were less successful.
Then, there were rounds where I had to think my way around the course. I am talking about those rounds of golf where everything is going well, but course management is critical to success. They are fun rounds and I enjoy these the most. However, I have found that during these rounds, indecision really hurts the bottom line.
