Well, I have taken a quite a few days off from thinking and writing about golf. I have allowed myself time to recharge (still working on that) my golf batteries in order to set the stage for next season. There really is not much difficulty in refocusing on my game as my life is very simple. It is full of love, joy and gratefulness, however I do have time to devote to my passions. Being retired is great and my passions, such as golf, are allotted more time. How blessed am I? Having said that, getting into the swing of golf is all about setting myself up for success. I have discussed the importance of developing a plan many times and this year no different. Interestingly, this year I plan to take a different approach.

Little Drummer Boy Revisited In 2023
I love the Christmas season. It is a little quieter this year, but it does not quell my joy of the holiday season. The winter wonderland, the sharing of happiness and joy, and spending time with the special people in my life. Although there is no golf, I will take the time to enjoy some outdoor activities, visiting, and being grateful. For me, it is also the time to give back to the community and to share some of my good fortune by donating to charities, the food bank, and just smiling at those I might encounter. The spirit of Christmas is all around us and I for one am happy to embrace it.
As part of my holiday traditions, I watch the Little Drummer Boy and post it on my golf blog. It does not seem like much, but this video is one of my all time favorites and I like to share its joy with you the readers!
In case you did not notice, I love his mittens!
The Christmas season is a special time and I hope you take the opportunity to take the time and enjoy your family and friends. Although golf is on the back burner, I still am trying to figure out a way to keep swinging. I have a plan now and expect to execute it very soon. This was a bit of a repost from previous years with a few minor changes; but worth the look.

Golf is an amazing sport that offers many opportunities for success. Equally, the negative side of golf can be just as aggressive when fighting for your attention. Mostly because I am not willing to put in the time or effort (at this time) to cross the finish line. During my journey, I realized one thing that was consistent every time I reached a milestone. This one trait of all athletes is what helps everyone reach their goals.

Golf is a sport that can make you smile or cry. Regardless of how your game is going, the next shot holds that type of power! I experienced both many times over the years. When things go awry, I like to smile, laugh, and chuckle because it is really the appropriate response.
Have an awesome Sunday!
