An Exciting Moving Day At The 2025 Masters

Moving day at the 2025 Masters was by far the most fun to watch in years. Saturday is traditionally the time when players make their move to position themselves for the final push on Sunday. Two players stood out and a couple moved up the leaderboard. With only 18 holes to go, I predict that if a player is not with five strokes, the chances of winning the green jacket are virtually non-existent. Although it is possible, it is unlikely that Patrick Reed or Ludvig Åberg will shoot well enough and Rory McIlroy, Corry Conners or Bryson DeChambeau will all play poorly enough to open the door for a run from down the field. So, with this in mind, what can expect in the final round of the 2025 Masters.

Predicting The 2025 Masters Winner

In years past, I have offered my prediction for the winner of the Masters. Starting tomorrow, the field of 95 players, including the 12 LIV Golf players, will tee it up to try and claim the green jacket. This is my favourite Major in professional because the whole mystic of Augusta captivates my attention. This year I am not 100% that the scores will follow the traditional unfolding of the leaderboard. I have a few thoughts, but I would not bet the bank of my predictions.

My 2024 Masters Predictions

For years I tried to predict the winner of the a Major. The Masters is one of the most challenging because if never seem to get it right. I have been close a few times and actually named a winner, but overall success is limited. Well, that does not discourage me from trying. Besides, if I am correct this year, imagine the bragging rights I will have….right? The 2024 Masters is starting soon and I thought I would drop my picks just before the Honorary Starters (Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson) hit the first ball.

A Soaked Third Round At The Masters

As expected the third round of the Masters was rain soaked. Except for an hour or so in the morning, the rain pelted all the players. Very few were able to handle the wet conditions because of the unknown factor of how the wetness would affect chipping and putting. For the most part, Augusta National held up very well until it was time to call for a rain delay. The leaders still have 12 holes to play on day 4 and as expected, they will be heading off early in order to finish this years Masters. The wet rainy weather is supposed to be gone by Sunday morning to be replaced with cool sunny skies. The change might help most of the players, but unless Brooks Koepka faulters, I do not see anyone catching my on Sunday afternoon.

Update From The 2023 Masters

Day two was rain delayed, trees were blown over, and Brooks Koepka kept rolling. To no surprise, the drama continue at The Masters with the weather rolling in causing all kinds of havoc. I realize this is a first world problem, yet I cannot wonder how the players with half of their second round still to play will enjoy the soggy conditions on day 3? It is not ideal, but something that all golfers face when at the mercy of Mother Nature. The change in weather will not affect everyone and I am interested to see who will beat back the conditions to shoot a great score. Are you?
