I sometimes wonder if golf is a universal sport designed for all athletes. Don’t get we wrong, golfers are athletes. Like all professional and amateur sports the higher level of play (or elite players) have a combination of athletic ability and a passion to excel on the links. This combination is nothing new, but in golf, it seems that the stakes are higher because of the frustration level of trying to achieve a high level of play. With the combination of so many factors, I often wonder why beginners take golf thinking that this sport is fun and easily mastered!

Being A Grateful Golfer!
I have no words of wisdom today to delve deep into skill development. Today, I am feeling grateful. Of course, I am grateful for the many blessings in my life that help me navigate the daily comings and goings. Keeping a grateful attitude even when many challenges test our resolve is a life path I choose to travel.
My life approach of gratefulness also applies to my golf game. Like you, I make mistakes, poor choices and mishits. It is a fact of golf, but as I experience each bump in the road, I always remain grateful for the great things in my golf game. My gratefulness helps fuel my passion of playing great golf and regardless of the results, it remains front and center in my mental approach. I am grateful, always.

Today is another fantastic day. I will be playing golf in the afternoon with some friends. I know that I will hit some good shots and some others, but no matter what I will be grateful for the time I spend following my passion.
I am sending positive thoughts out to the world in hopes that it helps others navigate their golf and life path. My your day be filled with joy and happiness. If nothing else, remember to be grateful.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
How Quickly Things Change On The Golf Course
Like the weather this time of year, our fortunes on the golf course can change in a blink of an eye. A poor or lucky bounce can turn a birdie into an other with no remorse. This unknown factor is just one reason I love golf. An this is the reason why I am excited to play my first round of 2022 tomorrow at Osprey Links Golf Course.
>!–more–>The surprise of being able to play came quick. I was anticipating no playing until May, but the course has dried up enough to play the back nine. My mindset of waiting to play golf this year did a 180° about turn to get ready time is short. Of course, I have been anticipating this announcement for weeks and my equipment is clean and ready to go. It is going to be a great day on many levels.

For tomorrow, I have zero expectations. Hitting the links is all about reconnecting with my friends, playing golf, and enjoying the moment. The score is irrelevant as I likely will only play 9 holes (that is a game day decision). Regardless, my 2022 golf season is starting I am a truly grateful I can play another year.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
And The Temperature is Changing
Every year there is a discernable moment when I notice the distinct difference in weather. Yesterday as that day! It is like turning the corner and the golf season is on the horizon. Imagine that in less than 30 days this will be green and snow free.

I am grateful for the day. I am going to create the day I want! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Finding Your Inner Golfer
There are golfers that play golf, play golf, and play golf. You can not hear the inflection in my voice as you read the first line, but if you think about it……there are three different state of golfer. Every athlete has an inner athlete trying to work its way to the surface. Sometimes the journey is a challenging and other times it is a natural progression. Well, golfers are exactly the same. The challenge I have found during my journey was determining the type of player that best suit my mental and physical capabilities. Finding my inner golfer was a journey, but I think I have a handle on it now.
