I have not played golf outdoors since 19 September 2019. That was my last day on the playing outdoors until four days ago when I built my DIY chipping area. Since, I have chipped a minimum of 100 golf balls from 25 yards. And I must say that I am not surprised at my results.

The number of times I made excuses for not fixing my golf game is almost countless. I can always find a reason why it is just not the right time to make that much needed adjustment. After long since promising, I have put together an article on how I built a chipping mat for less than $50. My mat is designed for short chipping practice in a relatively confined space. Since constructing my training aid in February, I have used it almost everyday for no less than 15 minutes. Additionally, my wife has made a habit of chipping everyday as she is planning to start playing golf again this year.
