Working Towards Serenity On The Golf Course

When I played golf in the past (actually back about 25 years), extreme bouts of frustration would follow me around the golf course. If I made a poor shot or at least one that I felt should have been better, I would allow my frustration to build until it erupted. I am not proud of this fact, but it is something I think most golfers experience during their journey. My frustration was very much an internal thing, but it would eat away at my ability to play to a point were I had to grind out every shot. Golf was beginning to lose its luster and I actually thought about hanging up my sticks. That is until I made a decision to change!

Improving Your Golf Swing One Shot At A Time

It is fair to say that feedback from contact helps shape our golf swing. I don’t know about you, but my great hits do not happen as often as I hope. But, I still keep swinging away hoping that the percentage of great contact continues improve. To do this, I will have to continue swinging and swinging with the intent to get better. Before you start yelling at me and calling me names for stating the obvious, I think if you sit back and think about it, how often do golfers hit their ball with intent.

My Golf Game: It Is A Matter Of Perception

I am sure many of you have heard the saying “perception is reality”. Basically, perception shapes how we look at our lives and helps create the reality in which we live. Of course, there are counter arguements to this famous quote that our reality is much more complex and there are many other factors to consider. You will have to research each side of the discussion to determine on which side of the fence you fall, but when it comes to our golf game, at least for me, this is a simple answer. What Does It Take To Be A Scratch Golfer?

My goal to be a scratch golfer will always be at the forefront of my golfing goals. I believe that I need a vision for my future golf game to lower my handicap. On a side note, if you are wondering “A vision is a vivid mental image of what you want your business to be at some point in the future, based on your goals and aspirations.” (Queensland Government) This definition really sums up where I want to go, but how exactly do I get there? What to Change In Your Golf Swing

When is the worse time to make changes to your golf swing? Depending who you talk too, anytime will be the most popular answer. However, experience tells me that this answer is probably not the best for trying to play consistent golf. Over the years, I have tried to make changes during the middle of a round and rarely, and I mean rarely, has it work out in my favor.
