Today was an awesome day on the golf course. My long time friend, Blair, and I played one of the few rounds of the year at his home course of Osprey Links Golf Course in Callander, Ontario, Canada. It is a unique course with a links style front nine and a ‘cut through the forest’ back nine. I was my home course for many years and now it is a gem I like to play a few times a year. Interestingly, and the reason for my blog, the conditions at Osprey Links is completely different than that of my home course; Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort. What an adventure is all I have to say!

What Is Fun On The Golf Course?
The definition of fun is completely different for each golfer. Some find hitting the ball a country mile their jam. Others like the delicate nature of a great short game. And others find the social aspect of playing golf to their liking. There really is no wrong answer except if you are not having a good time or feel frustrated the entire time you are on the links. If this is the case, it might be time to reevaluate the reason you spend 4 to 6 hours looping a golf course. For me it is very simple and my reason transcends all others.

It has been almost a week since I hit the links. Life has prevented me from teeing it up and that is OK. I knew this time in my season was coming and as such, am prepared for hitting the links less for the rest of the year. It is all good and has nothing to do with my health. Anyway, I have carved out some time today to hit the links and it is going to be fun.
